서도 탕건봉, 왕호장근 군락지

독도는 대한민국 가장 동쪽에 있는 섬으로, 한국인에게 뜻깊은 영토이다. 동도와 서도 두 섬과 89개의 부속 바위섬으로 이루어져 있으며, 다양한 생물이 살아 천연기념물로 보호되고 있다. 여름 서도의 탕건봉과 왕호장근 군락지이다. 탕건은 갓 아래에 받쳐 쓰던 말총으로 만든 전통 관모이다.

EnglishDokdo is the easternmost island of Korea and a territory of deep meaning to Koreans. It consists of two islands, Dongdo (East Island) and Seodo (West Island), and 89 surrounding rocky islets, and is protected as a Natural Monument that is home to diverse wildlife. Tanggeonbong Peak and a Wanghojanggeun (giant knotweed) patch on Seodo in summer. Tanggeon is a traditional Korean horsehair skullcap worn under a gat (traditional Korean hat).
