한식엽서세트는 건강하고 다양한 맛을 지닌 한식을 소개하는 엽서 세트다. 김치, 비빔밥, 불고기, 냉면 등 외국인이 즐겨 찾는 한식 9종을 각각 소개하는 엽서와, 한식의 특징을 전체적으로 소개하는 엽서 1장을 더해 총 10장으로 구성했다. 엽서 케이스 안쪽에는 불고기와 비빔밥의 재료와 조리법을 함께 실어, 직접 만들어볼 수 있도록 했다.
EnglishThis postcard set introduces Korean food, known for being healthy and full of diverse flavors. It includes nine postcards, each featuring a Korean dish popular with foreign visitors, such as Kimchi, bibimbap, bulgogi, and naengmyeon (cold noodles), plus one more postcard giving an overview of Korean food. That makes ten postcards in total. Inside the case, you'll also find the ingredients and recipes for bulgogi and bibimbap, so you can try making them yourself.

Taste of Korean Food!
Korean food = Health food. From ancient times, Koreans have thought that food and medicine have common root. Therefore, both the ones who make the food and the ones who eat the food think of health. When cooking, people balance both animal-nature and vegetable ingredients and use less fats. In addition, Korean food presents variety of tastes according to different ingredients and recipes. For example, there are hundreds of types of Kimchi, and numerous kinds of teas. From now on, enjoy the diverse charm of Korean food. And be a friend of Korea.
1. Baechu -kimchi 배추김치 Cabbage Kimchi
Kimchi is the most well-known Korean dish. There are different varieties, according to the ingredients. Baechu-kimchi is the most popular type of Kimchi. It is made by mixing brined cabbage with vegetables,salt-fermented sea foods, and various spices like ground red pepper and fermenting the mixed result.
2.Bulgogi 불고기 Korean Barbecue
Bulgogi consists of beef marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, garlic, and green onions. It is then cooked in a brazier. When Koreans eat Bulgogi, they usually wrap it with lettuce, sesame leaves, or other leaves.
3.Bibimbap 비빔밥 Rice Mixed with Vegetables and Beef
Bibimbap is a dish mixed with cooked rice, vegetables, beef and red pepper paste. The city of Jeonju is especially famous for its tasty Bibimbap, which has the characteristic of putting five-different colored vegetables with seasoned raw beef.
4.Samgyetang 삼계탕 Ginseng Chicken Soup
Samgyetang, a ginseng chicken soup, is the most common and famous health food eaten in the summer. The chicken, just enough for a single serving, is stuffed with ginseng, garlic, jujube, and sweet rice.
5.Hobakjuk 호박죽 Pumpkin Porridge
Juk is a porridge made with cereals. There are various types of Juk, depending on its ingredients, such as cereals, vegetables, meat, and seafood. Hobakjuk, made with pumpkin, is one of the most famous kinds of Juks, due to its sweet taste and beautiful color.
6.Topokki 떡볶이 Stir-Fried Rice Cake
Topokki is made by stir-frying rice cakes with vegetables and fish cakes in gochujang(red pepper paste) sauce. It is one of the most popular dishes in Korea. There are many fusion Topokkis, such as Ramen Topokki (Topokki + Ramen) and Cheese Topokki (Topokki with cheese topping).
7.Haemul -pajeon 해물파전 Seafood Green Onion Pancake
Haemul-pajeon is a dish made by pan-frying green onion and seafood in mushy dough. It goes well with Makgeolli, Korean traditional rice wine. Dongnae-pajeon from the Busan city is the most famous Haemul-pajeon; it was even presented to the king during Joseon Dynasty(1392~1910).
8.Mul -naengmyeon 물냉면 Chilled Buckwheat Noodle Soup
Mul-naengmyeon, made with buckwheat noodles in chilled broth, is one of the most popular dishes during hot summer. People living in the northern region mainly enjoyed this, since buckwheat is mostly produced there. Mul-naengmyeon has been particularly famous in Pyeongyang (capital of North Korea) during winter.
9.Tteok 떡 Rice Cake
Tteok is generally made by kneading rice powder with water and then steaming or shaping it. It has various types in accordance with different recipes and ingredients. It is the must-have food in many of Korean traditional events and feasts, like holidays, marriages, funeral ceremonies and ancestral rites.
