수원 화성 방화수류정 원경

화성은 18세기 말에 세워진 경기도 수원에 있는 성곽이다. 한국의 전통적인 축성술에 당시 동서양의 축성술을 집약하여 만들었으며, 1997년 유네스코 세계유산으로 등재되었다. 언덕 위 성벽을 따라 자리한 방화수류정을 멀리서 바라본 모습이다.

EnglishHwaseong is a fortress in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, built in the late 18th century. It combines traditional Korean fortress-building techniques with those of both the East and the West, and was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Banghwasuryujeong sits along the wall on the ridge, seen here from a distance.
