EnglishChoi Jae-hyung (1860–1920) was an independence activist whose warmth never faded, even in the cold land of Siberia. He used his own wealth to establish a school for Koreans and organized the "Dongeuihoe" society, and published the newspapers Daedonggongbo and Gwoneopsinmun. He helped Ahn Jung-geun carry out the Harbin mission, and gave his entire fortune to the independence movement, earning him the nickname "Korea's noblesse oblige." This stamp sheet includes 10 individual stamps depicting his life and achievements, along with a commemorative stamp with his nickname "Pechka," meaning "warm stove," written in the center.
